Located in Glenview, Hamilton, The CowShed was ​created in 2014 as a purpose built home for Jack ​on his family’s lifestyle property. The centre ​includes a range of both indoor and outdoor ​activities, as well as regularly changing themes for ​visitors to enjoy. Whether you want to visit for ​the day, or stay a few nights, we’d love to see you!

The CowShed is open to day visitors!

We have a wide range of things to see and do, from ​quiet indoor activities like the felt board and sensory ​bin, to the noisier outdoor fun of the Sound Garden. ​Enjoy some imaginative play with the fairy tree houses, ​complete an activity book, or pick some vegetables ​from the garden to feed the animals. It’s up to you! ​The CowShed is not a structured day base program, ​but instead encourages visitors and their carers to ​engage with the available activities at their own pace.

Note: Due to being a multi-hazard environment, all ​visitors are required to watch our ‘Health and Safety ​Video’, and read the orientation documents before ​their first visit. View these HERE.

Visiting hours:

Monday to Friday:

10.00 am to 5.00 pm.

Open school holidays.

Closed on public holidays.

Closed over Christmas and New Year.

Cost:

$5 per client (carer is free). ​Receipts are available.

The CowShed is available for overnight stays!

The CowShed has been built as a safe and accessible ​home. It features a kitchen, full bathroom and living room ​for visitors to use. Three bedrooms are available for ​clients to stay in, and the staff bedroom comes with an ​en suite. The CowShed does not provide full respite care, ​but instead invites clients with their own contract/family ​carer to enjoy a stay at the purpose-built home.

Available hours:

24/7, including holidays.

Cost:

$150 per night.

Overnight clients provide their own ​contract staff/family carer.
